To maintain access to the EEE pantry, all users must adhere to the following standards.
1. The "Better Than You Found It" Mandate
The pantry operates on a net-positive cleaning policy.
- If you use the microwave, wipe the interior (even if you don't see a "mess").
- If you use the sink, ensure it is clear of food debris and wiped dry.
- The Goal: The next person should feel like they are the first person to use the appliance today.
2. The Zero-Tolerance Fridge Policy
The refrigerator is for temporary storage, not long-term residency.
- Label Everything: Name and Date must be visible. Unlabeled items are subject to immediate disposal.
- The Daily Purge: Every day at 5:00 PM, expect all remaining items (including condiments) to be tossed. No exceptions.
- Spill = Scrub: If your container leaks, you are responsible for sanitizing the shelf immediately.
3. Sink Hygiene
The sink is a utility, not a trash can.
- No Food Scraps: Use the actual trash bin for solids.
- No "Soaking" Items: Leaving dishes to "soak" is just a polite way of leaving a mess for someone else to clean up. Wash, dry, and remove items righ away.
4. The "Smell Test"
If you can smell it, you own it.
- If you notice an odor emanating from an appliance, identify the source and dispose of it immediately.
- Do not wait for the administrative staff to play "What's that Smell."
